I often get asked about how I have stayed so positive throughout my emotional and physical traumatic experiences. Other than having the most loving and supportive people in my life, the one thing I swear by is Gratitude. I’m not one for trends, but the concept of an attitude of gratitude has been spreading like wildfire and I’m loving it. I LOVE November. My great grandparents, grandparents, and parents all got married on Thanksgiving within the last century. Other than my love for tradition, what’s more romantic than celebrating your love for one another on a day where giving thanks for all you have is the main reason the day even exists?! November has turned into my month of gratitude over the years and from there I hold onto it only to restore my love and appreciation for it when November comes back around. Last year on Thanksgiving, I finally committed to taking steps in the right direction of recovering from my pain-induced depression. I signed up for a VIBE class and the rest is history. I don’t know where I would be if I didn’t take a leap of faith by attending my first spin class. Committing to myself through VIBE has helped improve my quality of life tremendously. From helping me stay on track, get the cardio I need without further injuries, boost my confidence in myself mentally, emotionally, spiritually, physically —VIBE has been one of the driving forces in my life and I am grateful beyond measure for the people that make it a possibility. I hope that by sharing my story of triumph through the powers of faith, love, and gratitude will help lead you where you are meant to be. This month I challenge you to bring gratitude into your everyday practice, someway, somehow. It saved my life and I hope it can do the same for you.
Happy November. Find your Gratitude VIBE.
