Last week I discussed ways to complement your VIBE workouts in order to keep your body healthy beyond your VIBE time. This week we are bringing it back home to VIBE. Many people are apprehensive to workout because they are afraid of the limitations that their bodies create. However, if you set your mind on those limitations, you start to create them yourself. When I first started working out I was nervous. I couldn’t run anymore after my accident, it was too harsh on my joints, but I needed physical activity and life is too good to let one moment of my life control its outcome. VIBE took all of my fears away. The instructors really focus on what I like to refer to as Modifications NOT Limitations.
“To keep our body in good health is a duty… otherwise, we shall not be able to keep our mind strong and clear.” ~Buddha
I hope that we can all agree that we all come together at VIBE to maintain or achieve health of some sort. Whether it’s body, mind, or spirit (or maybe the trifecta!) keeping our bodies in good health is our duty in order to maintain health all around. While working out it’s completely normal to get a post-workout ache while your muscles heal. Everything you do in life should be balanced. We love seeing all of your faces each and everyday, but how do you keep your body healthy beyond the walls of VIBE?
Whenever anyone asks about my cycling shoes I get really excited. Yes, I’m that girl in class that wants to pass the torch of cycling shoe wisdom onto the next member of the VIBE Tribe. Like most people that start spinning, you don’t anticipate how often you will go to class until your first few classes that get you hooked. I made a commitment to myself to kickstart my fitness goals but spinning was just something I thought I would just try for a month (how habits start!). I started off with my regular go-to workout sneakers, but there’s always that traumatic moment that just does it for you and makes you want to leave your usual kicks out of spinning for good.
